Owl about Me

Well, it seems that having a bad back has been good for my creative juices. Nurofen Plus does wonders to get the mind working.. I have had these Kaisercraft papers for a while now & have been pondering on what to do with them. After we went to the Zoo on mothers day & couldn't get in due to an escapee orangutan we spent some time in the park outside. I got some great shots using my new camera of the kids climbing the tree's. I made this page about me & how special the people in my life are. I hope you like this layout as much as I do. Unfortunately the colours don't come up as well in the photo's, but I have used the distress crackle paint & the Heidi Swapp Alphabet Mask to do the title. I really like the effect that this has.

Well I have been a little slack on the blogging, but I have been busy getting creative. I have been trying out some new papers that I picked up. The Heidi Swapp Invisibles range, which I absolutley love, so really hope that she brings some more out. They are very versatile being able to use all sorts of mediums on them. I have just completed a page using the Lyra watercolour crayons & an aquash brush which work really well. Check out the photo of the layout that i have posted.

I also have done a page of my beautiful eldest daughter who hates having her photo taken with a passion, but I managed to sneak a photo of her whilst we were at the Jimmy Barnes Day on the green concert. She is very photogenic but you have to be quick. This layout was a little fiddly using the bling flourish as it didn't want to play nice, but the overall effect was worth the stress.

Having never used the distress crackle paints, i decided to give them a go, and have decided that I really like them, I just want to paint & crackle everything at the moment. I haven't quite finished this layout yet, but once i do I will post it..
